Find Out How To House Train A Dog Effortlessly In Less Than 24 Hours

House training is a very important happening in a dog's life. It builds a tight bond and healthy relationship between the master and the dog. Expert dog trainers recommend that house training should begin during a dog's early years. Your dog's bad behavior will be easier to correct as he gets older, because obedience training took place during the time he was most open to following instructions. Therefore, the sooner you learn how to house train a dog, the more successful you'll be training him.

Here are some basic steps on how you should commence to house train a dog.

Let Him Have His Own Space

The untrained puppy or dog should not be allowed to wander around the house, without any supervision. You may not realize it yet, but your pet may already be chewing on unsafe things and worse, may get themselves injured or electricuted. If you are at home, make sure to keep him in a place where you can keep an eye on what he's doing. If there ever comes a time that he'll be left by himself, make sure to place him in a den or crate. Get him a bed of his own that may include a blanket or pillow , some toys, and a bowl for both water and food. Let him have time to run around freely, so he can get enough exercise.

Introduce Him to New Areas

After you have trained him how to act in his own space, it is now time to introduce him to other areas of the house. Make sure to spend quality time with him in each new area. If you want to show him a new spot where he will eat, do it under your constant direction. Familiarize him to each section of the house, and make apparent what he is allowed and not allowed to do in them. Do this by restraining him with a dog leash, so as to limit his movement. Let him lose when you think he's gotten use to the new areas. But, remember to keep watch or else he might get into stuff and do wrong.

Potty Train Him

Show him the place where he can releave himself. Be careful not to bewilder him. Never allow him to romp in that area or he may decide that he can use the same place for all his activities.

Let Him Understand The "No Chew" Command

By nature, dogs like to chew on things, since it assists in the growth of their teeth and gums. It is also sort of a healthy exercise for their jaws. Part of training your dog is providing him with things that he may nibble on, and let him know that not all things are used for strengthening his teeth and gums. Be stern as you give him the "No chew" command. Cheer him whenever he does obey and give him a reward.

Set Off Limit Areas

It is paramount that you keep your dog out of any area that has a sofa and chairs or electrical wiring lying on the floor. Give him the "Out" command and when he does follow it, lovingly pat him on the head and praise him.

Again keep in mind, the sooner you get started, the better behaved your dog will be when he gets older. Try to devote a hour or two towards house training your dog and you'll both be better off for it.
